The New 3rd-Octave IAS Drone Platform.
Deep. Architectural. Surprisingly Easy.
Meet the B3 Drone Flute in 432 Hz.

This is a major step forward for IAMSOUND: a true 3rd-octave drone flute built to deliver a big, grounded voice while staying balanced in the hands and simple to play. The B3 lives in a rare sweet spot — deeper than our 4th-octave drones, but more agile and portable than our largest builds.
The B3’s architectural bridge-frame design isn’t just for looks. It was developed to enhance resonance and stability while keeping the instrument lightweight and comfortable to hold. The result is a tone that feels “larger than the object” — a deep, present sound with an airy openness that invites long phrases and slow evolving melodies.
WHY IT HITS:
The dual-tube drone design lays down a continuous harmonic bed, while the melody pipe lets you add expression on top without complex fingering. It’s beginner-friendly, but it scales beautifully with advanced breath control, overtone work, and layering.
432 Hz FLAVOR:
In 432 Hz, B3 leans warm, round, and organic. It feels grounded and spacious — ideal for breathwork, meditation grooves, ambient looping, and slow cinematic improvisation.
The B3 platform is one of our most engineering-intensive builds to date. A lot of love and energy went into the design process (plus plenty of flute solos while I watched these print), and we’re genuinely excited to release this new lane to you.

DISASSEMBLY / ASSEMBLY:
This drone flute arrives assembled in numbered pieces. Please disassemble with care if deciding to do so for portability (slowly wiggle around the joints as you pull). When reassembling, follow the numbering sequence. We recommend connecting the pieces part-way by hand, then gently tapping the rest into place on a hard surface (with a rug or carpet underneath). A rubber mallet also works well if needed. We designed it this way to ensure the airways remain tightly sealed.
