I have been working with I am sounds products for the last two years. Living in the mountain west, I do a lot of hiking and outdoor traveling. I don’t go anywhere without having a couple of I am sounds Flutes with me to help connect with nature. They are durable and water resistant and can be broken down in a smaller pieces for travel. And I’m impressed on the quality of tone, especially for the F#4 drone, which is my favorite product.

Can't wait to try this with a delay.

The E4 was my first purchase, and damn! Took literally 3 hours of playing around to achieve an ancient China, kung-fu-y sort of sound and vibe. My cats attend the show. The birds compete with melodies of their own. This flute is an etheric menace!

Easy to play for the absolute beginner! Watch the YouTube tutorial and you will be making beautiful sounds in mere minutes. My only complaint is that they are out of stock. I NEED a glow in the dark one!

As the title says theres plenty of good and some bad with this one.

So i have the V1 F#4 drone, I love it. It was my first wind instrument as an adult and I picked up the basics on it quickly. All that being said some of my issues below might be more skill related than an issue with the flute itself.

I was excited for something with a lower tone and a more interesting design, and the B3 drone definitely has that!

That being said, the flute is harder to hold even with my giant hands, and it requires much better breath control than I have yet.

Because of its size and design its hard to play without covering one of the sound blocks, and it can be rough to hold onto when doing more complex playing. You can separate the pieces at the second joint and flip the mouthpiece section, it plays basically the same and makes the ergonomics slightly better.

It gets squeaky with overtones on the low notes and drone with the slightest amount of breath, so its definitely not for beginners. As I've practiced with it I am getting better, but it doesn't quite have the projection I was hoping for with how little air you can push through before getting a sour note.

Great concept, and I'd love to see a v2 with slightly better/ easier finger placement and more forgiving airway if such a thing is possible.

I was really bummed that it didn’t sound like he did, but it’s a learning curve. Also the size is too big for my hands. So that’s a consideration as well. I’m not going to give it a worse score because the product is fine, I just would recommend the advertisement to be more accurate. Learning curve of breathing through a flute if you have not played a woodwind type of instrument is not for everyone. Small hands also not recommend.

It sounds amazing, I love it! I preordered it and it came after about A month & a half, and it came perfectly fine there’s nothing wrong with it and I love the way your body connects with it! Definitely gonna buy another one:)

Beautiful, deep toned instrument, that I plan to incorporate when facilitating Sound Bath Meditations. This is a 2-chamber instrument, so you can play both sides independently, for drone or harmonies. Because it is a Helmholtz Resonator rather than a flute, it is not critical that you know the fingering. You can partially uncover *any* hole to find the pitch that you are looking for (I use my thumbs a lot). If you cover one of the whistle holes, then that side mutes, and you are playing a monophonic melody line. Then add the second chamber to build drama.

Very easy to play with high quality music

It started off with frustration because i have never played a flute before. After a couple of introductory YouTube flute lessons i started to get the hang of blowing into the flute. One morning i woke up and started to play my drone flute.... It was after 5 minutes of playing that i opened up my eyes and felt this meditation wash over me. Hope you all feel the same vibe :)

When I received it, I had to adapt to the hole spacing somewhat. But I honestly can't say enough great things about it. I'm generally on a 3rd octave flute of some sort. But this one goes everywhere with me. The colorway is the coolest one I've seen come out of the mystery multicolor drones. It's plenty loud, and it doesn't require any special technique to start. And the timbre and the overtones are about as temperable as you can get without going with a smaller flute. I recommend this one as often as possible.

As a middle school classroom teacher, I can’t wait to finish my day and come home and play my flute for my four geese in my backyard. Nothing better to re-regulate my nervous system.!! wasn’t hard to pick up. I’ve never played the flute before and I’m playing comfortably after just a couple weeks.

I really like the flute because it helps with intuitive playing and it reminds me of native American flutes, but with the harmony of the drone sound. Very affordable as well.

I am trying to learn the bagpipe and wonder if a 9 hole version could be made that could function like a chanter for bagpipe practice?

Excited to receive my D4 Harmonic Ocarina 432 Hz today. My first impression when unboxing it is that the color is different than what I was expecting. Online the Pink appears to be a vibrant "Hot Pink" but what I received is a very pale pastel pink. Which was a bit of a let down, as hot pink gives it more of a heart aesthetic💓 The sound seems nice, and the smaller size makes it easier for me to play than the drone flute I purchased😎

I discovered this company right when I was in the market for a new instrument to add to my collection. I don't have much experience with flutes in general. The limited notes are perfect for beginners, but with the ability to bend the notes, and with learning a few techniques to do with your mouth and fingers to create new sounds, it really expands the musical capabilities of this instrument. I love this flute. The tone and pitch are perfect, and once you bring in that drone, the harmonies are fantastic. I live in Canada and it arrived quickly and safely. Thank-you I am Sound🙏🏽 for allowing people to experience something so cool for such a reasonable price. Hope to post some videos of my progress soon. 😁👊🏽✌🏽

I have a bunch of these drone flutes. This one is my new favorite - just feels and sound great... And, mine looks incredible, with some bands of color across a solid white.

I love the drone flute,its fun and easy to learn.in fact when you take it apart after too many margaritas each separate piece becomes an entertaining instrument. Lol.

Where I struggled was the shipping cost and import fees with trumps tariffs.
In total it was $190 Canadian extra

Pretty loud for the size. Very easy to play. Hoping we get more of these and the other Black Keys editions in mystery multicolor options. Insane quality for the price. I'm always recommending these. Comfortable enough to play pretty fast too. Still hoping for some drone flutes in the 2nd Octave and some more triple drones. Way funner than recorder, and less shrill.
