Introducing The F4 Drone Flute 440 Hz in the Major Scale.
IAMSOUND x John Pattern "Experiments in MAJOR"
Our first collaboration begins with my dear friend John Pattern!
Together we have been experimenting over the past year with the MAJOR SCALE
Which is an alternative to the "MINOR SCALE" normally experienced with flutes such as ours (especially drones). These new sounds bring more of a Celtic feel to the melodies, and when paired with a drone it even reminds me of bag-pipes!
We are confident you will fall in love with this new MAJOR addition to your flute journey :)

This Drone Flute is in the Key of F, 4th octave and is tuned to 432 Hz
LIMITED INVENTORY / Check back often for restocks + new colors
- Tuned to 432 hz
- Made from eco-friendly materials
- Sliding airway blocks for easy moisture removal
- Rear opening for optional mic clip and/or wearable strap
- Volcano rings feature for each hole to improve feel (larger island concave on small bottom hole)
- Very portable with connecting pieces
DISASSEMBLY / ASSEMBLY:
This drone flute arrives assembled in numbered pieces. Please disassemble with care if deciding to do-so for portability (slowly wiggle around the joints as you pull). When re-assembling, please follow the numbering sequence. We recommend connecting the pieces part-way by hand, and then finding a hard floor surface (either with a rug or carpet) to tap the rest of the pieces in place until they lock (rubber malot works great as well if needed). We designed it this way to ensure the airways remain tightly sealed.

The F#4 Drone Flute in 432 Hz is one of those instruments that immediately feels approachable, even if you’ve never touched a flute before. The learning curve is minimal—within minutes you can produce a clean, steady tone, which makes it especially rewarding for beginners who don’t want to fight the instrument just to get started.
What stands out most is the tone quality. It has a rich, warm resonance that feels grounded and calming without sounding muddy. The 432 Hz tuning gives it a slightly softer, more natural character compared to standard tuning, and that comes through clearly when you hold a sustained note—the sound is full, smooth, and surprisingly immersive.
The drone feature adds depth without complexity. It creates a layered, almost meditative soundscape with very little effort, which makes it ideal for both casual playing and more intentional, reflective sessions.
From a practical standpoint, the design is thoughtful. The airflow is consistent, moisture management is simple, and the modular construction makes it easy to transport without feeling fragile or gimmicky. It’s clear this was built to be used, not just displayed.
Overall, this is a well-crafted, beginner-friendly instrument with a genuinely beautiful voice. It delivers immediate satisfaction while still offering enough tonal depth to keep you coming back.
Thank you so much for your feedback! We’re thrilled the F#4 Drone Flute 432 Hz feels approachable, warm, and immersive.
It’s wonderful to hear you’re enjoying the drone, tone, and practical design—we’re so glad it’s bringing you joy!
I bought the F#4 432 drone in black. This is a great sounding flute! It's very durable and portable. Aside from being over-stamped with brand labeling, it's a really great product. I love it!
We’re thrilled to hear you’re loving your F#4 432 Drone! Portable, durable, and sounding amazing—exactly what we hope every player experiences. Thank you for sharing your excitement with us!
Total serenity. Thanks guys.
Glad it’s bringing you peace and serenity. Thank you for sharing your experience!
I love the sound and ease of this flute. Absolutely beautiful, but it’s not suited for smaller hands. The position of the 6th hole is a stretch for someone with smaller hands or shorter fingers. It’s very hard to make a good seal on that hole for me.
I thought it was due to finger strength until I let my child try it. They had a hard time with their small hands too. Maybe something the makers can keep in mind to make it more versatile for all musicians.
Very cool, beautiful sound- still learning how to play
Glad you’re enjoying the sound! Keep exploring—it gets even more fun as you play and learn. You’re doing great!
