Introducing The A4 Drone Flute 440 Hz in the Major Scale.
IAMSOUND x John Pattern "Experiments in MAJOR"
Our first collaboration begins with my dear friend John Pattern!
Together we have been experimenting over the past year with the MAJOR SCALE
Which is an alternative to the "MINOR SCALE" normally experienced with flutes such as ours (especially drones). These new sounds bring more of a Celtic feel to the melodies, and when paired with a drone it even reminds me of bag-pipes!
We are confident you will fall in love with this new MAJOR addition to your flute journey :)

This Drone Flute is in the Key of A, 4th octave and is tuned to 440 Hz.
This mid-range flute is still fairly small in size, being in the A scale, which makes it easy to reach the holes and learn with!
LIMITED INVENTORY / Check back often for restocks + new colors
- Tuned to 440 hz
- Made from eco-friendly materials
- Sliding airway blocks for easy moisture removal
- Rear opening for optional mic clip and/or wearable strap
- Very portable with connecting pieces
DISASSEMBLY / ASSEMBLY:
This drone flute arrives assembled in numbered pieces. Please disassemble with care if deciding to do-so for portability (slowly wiggle around the joints as you pull). When re-assembling, please follow the numbering sequence. We recommend connecting the pieces part-way by hand, and then finding a hard floor surface (either with a rug or carpet) to tap the rest of the pieces in place until they lock (rubber malot works great as well if needed). We designed it this way to ensure the airways remain tightly sealed.

This is my first attempt at a flute, and I may not get good at it, but the problem is not the flute. It is a very reasonable price. I like the tone and the notes are the right frequency when my fingers are all in the right place.
Thank you for your kind words! We're glad you’re enjoying your first flute and its beautiful tone. It sounds like you’re off to a great start — keep playing and enjoying the journey of making music!
