The E4 Single Barrel Flute has been designed and tested by myself and my friend Ibrahim, who happens to live in Egypt! This flute is tuned to 432 Hz which is ideal for jamming with others, and it's in the 4th Octave.
The E4 single is a mid-size flute, but also very portable - making it perfect for hikes or anywhere on the go!
LIMITED INVENTORY / Check back often for restocks + new colors
- Eco-friendly materials
- Tuned to 432 Hz
- Sliding airway blocks for easy moisture removal
- Curved shape for enhancing ease / dynamics of play
- Rear opening for optional mic clip and/or wearable neck strap
- Very portable with connecting pieces
DISASSEMBLY / ASSEMBLY:
This drone flute arrives assembled in numbered pieces. Please disassemble with care if deciding to do-so for portability (slowly wiggle around the joints as you pull). When re-assembling, please follow the numbering sequence. We recommend connecting the pieces part-way by hand, and then finding a hard floor surface (either with a rug or carpet) to tap the rest of the pieces in place until they lock (rubber malot works great as well if needed). We designed it this way to ensure the airways remain tightly sealed.

UPS did not handle this international shipment as well as I could have hoped. The Third section was snapped clean off just before the last hole. I asked if they could send a replacement section, but IAMsound offered a full refund instead. Too expensive to ship. Which was very kind of them. I turned around and ordered an Okarina in D4, and the new Dorian scale Drone. Which already arrived and they play great.
So … what to do with the E4? Well, Dad was an Engineer and some of that rubbed off. So I took 5 thin steel pins and inserted them into the wall of the flute and slowly built up the damage with Clear Gorilla glue. Wood clamped it all together and re-assembled. Presto, one tiny chip is all that remains - but filled with glue and sounds awesome now.
So…. Many thanks to the guys there. That makes 6 of your flutes I now play daily. Love the E4’s rich sound.
Wow, amazing story! We’re so glad the E4 is back in action and that all six of your flutes are sounding fantastic. Thank you for your support and passion—it means a lot!
The flute is awesome. I love the colour and the tuning is great.
Thank you! We’re glad you’re enjoying both the sound and the look of your flute — happy playing!
Went out looking for a cheap flute that played at A432, it did not disappoint. The only problems:
1) they’re a bit fragile, but at least IAS is great with sending replacements, and
2) it’d be nice if they could make and sell cases for them.
Thank you for your kind feedback! We’re thrilled your A432 flute met your expectations. We also appreciate your suggestion about cases—it’s something we’ll definitely consider for the future.
Thank you for your support!
Purchased this flute as a giveaway during a presentation I did . The individual that received it was stoked. I love to get others interested in this wonderful instrument!
That’s wonderful to hear — thank you for helping inspire others through music! We’re glad the recipient enjoyed the flute. It’s always amazing to see this instrument shared and appreciated.
Lovely lil white light of mine
