Introducing The D5 Drone Flute 432 Hz in the Major Scale.
IAMSOUND x John Pattern "Experiments in MAJOR"
Our first collaboration begins with my dear friend John Pattern!
Together we have been experimenting over the past year with the MAJOR SCALE
Which is an alternative to the "MINOR SCALE" normally experienced with flutes such as ours (especially drones). These new sounds bring more of a Celtic feel to the melodies, and when paired with a drone it even reminds me of bag-pipes!
We are confident you will fall in love with this new MAJOR addition to your flute journey :)

This Drone Flute is in the Key of D, 5th octave and is tuned to 432 Hz
The D5 POCKET Drone is our smallest and most affordable drone flute! It is tuned to 432 Hz so you can have fun with it in music circles and jam sessions. It's in the 5th Octave which makes it smaller in size and higher in pitch (about half the size of our flutes in the 4th Octave)
LIMITED INVENTORY / Check back often for restocks + new colors
- Tuned to 432 hz
- Made from 100% recycled PLA
- Sliding airway blocks for easy moisture removal
- Rear opening for optional mic clip and/or wearable strap
- Very portable with connecting pieces
DISASSEMBLY / ASSEMBLY:
This drone flute arrives assembled in numbered pieces. Please disassemble with care if deciding to do-so for portability (slowly wiggle around the joints as you pull). When re-assembling, please follow the numbering sequence. We recommend connecting the pieces part-way by hand, and then finding a hard floor surface (either with a rug or carpet) to tap the rest of the pieces in place until they lock (rubber malot works great as well if needed). We designed it this way to ensure the airways remain tightly sealed.

I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered this, but I’m so happy with my flute! It’s a beautiful rainbow gradient, I’m obsessed. The colors, design, and sound are all beautiful. I can tell this company makes these pieces with thought and care

I was surprised with what I could do with the instrument when it arrived. It's fantastic and I'm so happy with the product that I'm planning to order another as a gift.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re thrilled to hear how much you’re enjoying your flute and exploring its possibilities. It will be a wonderful gift to share, and we truly appreciate your support!
I love this drone flute it will take time to play an actual song but so far it sounds pretty. I really like the army blue color it is very cool. I also love how these flute actually say on the sides and back that it’s a D5 432 hz and the company logo in case I forget later. Came a little scuffed up but stills looks nice.
Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! We're glad you’re enjoying your D5 Drone Pocket Flute and loving the army blue finish and markings. Enjoy creating beautiful sounds with it!
This was my first drone flute, so take that as you will. The sound is bright/clear and plenty loud. I have been enjoying playing/learning it so far and I am happy with it overall. I did remove 1 star because it came a bit sratched and the overall print quality could have been better.
Thanks so much for your honest review and for giving our flute a try as your first drone flute! We’re glad to hear you’re enjoying the sound and learning process. We’ll also share your feedback about the scratches and print quality with our team so we can keep improving.
Firstly, thank you for providing such affordable flutes. The sound is pretty good. My only constructive criticism would be the connecting piece is a note flimsy. I’m sure you’ll keep getting better with every design.
Blessings 🙏🏾
