IAMSOUND presents the D4 Drone Flute in our Exclusive MULTI-COLOR design, entirely spontaneous and dependent on the change of our filaments between manufacturing runs ✨ These are extremely unique one-offs, most likely never to be printed again!

MYSTERY COLORS
You cannot select the color. The color is chosen at random from currently available.
(We are mindful of color choices and aesthetic when color-blocking. We used to call these "happy little accidents", but now they feel more like "happy little upgrades".... You'll notice most of my reels demonstrating our flutes usually show a multi-color, because I LOVE them! The price will remain the same on these because it doesn't cost us any extra)
HAVE FUN with the MYSTERY SURPRISE and remember, these are IN STOCK and ship out within a couple of days!
This D4 Double Flute is tuned to 432 Hz. It's in the 4th Octave and has a somewhat tall / narrow shape.
Perfect for hikes or anywhere on the go!(be prepared to blow minds of not only fellow humans, but also the birds and wild-life waiting to dance with you)
A lot of love and energy has gone into the development of these flutes (along with some flute solos while I watch them print in my basement) and I am excited to see these in the wild!
LIMITED INVENTORY / Check back often for restocks
- Tuned to 432 Hz
- Made from 100% Recycled PLA
- Sliding airway blocks for easy moisture removal
- Rear opening for optional mic clip and/or wearable neck strap
- Very portable with connecting pieces
DISASSEMBLY / ASSEMBLY:
This drone flute arrives assembled in numbered pieces. Please disassemble with care if deciding to do-so for portability (slowly wiggle around the joints as you pull). When re-assembling, please follow the numbering sequence. We recommend connecting the pieces part-way by hand, and then finding a hard floor surface (either with a rug or carpet) to tap the rest of the pieces in place until they lock (rubber malot works great as well if needed). We designed it this way to ensure the airways remain tightly sealed.

I am blown away by the sound quality of this instrument, and very pleased with my choice of register and tuning. The company responded promptly to a question about shipping timeline and actually bumped my shipment earlier in the queue when I asked about when I could expect it. Some comments:
I'm a woman with what I imagine are about average sized hands and arms. I'm 5'-6". Even with chanter fingers (held straight like playing a bagpipe rather than curved for other instruments), I can't get a good seal on the holes. My arms just aren't long enough to have my hands align perpendicular to the flute. I'm trying different positions, including pressing the flute against my body rather than trying to involve thumbs, but so far, it's not comfortable at all. I wonder whether an angled mouthpiece might help smaller people play this instrument? Or whether putting the holes on the edge of the flute instead of the flat front might be easier to hold?
I absolutely LOVE the drone aspect of the flute, and I'd totally go for a three pipe flute in my next (smaller) purchase.
Build quality is excellent - solid, great sound, and joints fit tightly while still being disassemblable.
Regarding purchase experience, I wish there was production tracking available, or at least the ability to check the web site to see where you were in the production process. My delivery arrived via Amazon, which was quite surprising!
Hi Annie. Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! We're glad you love the sound and build. We're exploring design tweaks like angled mouthpieces to improve comfort and will work on better production tracking. We appreciate your support!
