Real questions

The ones people actually ask before their first breath.

Do I need to know music?

No. The scale is built into the flute — every hole you open lands on a note that belongs. You breathe, the flute sings, and there are no wrong notes to hit.

Which key should I start with?

Open the Sound Room and listen. Higher keys (F♯5, D5) are small and bright; middle keys (F♯4, A4, G4) are the classic voice; low keys (G3, A3, B3) are long, deep and slow. If you are torn, F♯4 is the key the whole library grew from.

Single, drone, or triple?

A single is one voice. A drone adds a second, sealed barrel that holds the root under everything you play. A triple adds two drones so one breath sounds like a small choir.

432 Hz or 440 Hz?

440 Hz is the modern concert standard: pick it to play alongside pianos, guitars or recordings. 432 Hz sits a little lower and softer. We make every key in both.

How do I care for my flute?

Warm it in your hands before playing. After a session, blow the moisture out of the windway and let it air-dry standing up. Keep it out of hot cars and direct sun.
