This is our first drone flute in the 3rd octave and it's HUGE! (by far our biggest flute at the moment) Even though it's big, one of our themes for the 3rd octave is going to be minimalism. We wanted to create this flute with the least amount of material possible, while maintaining it's loud / low / rich sound and ease of play.... and that's exactly what we did here! I'm so happy with how it turned out and honestly surprised by how loud it is (especially when you experiment with vocal over-toning or beatboxing into it)

This A3 Drone is tuned to 432 Hz and is our first flute in the 3rd Octave (we're in the big leagues now!)

A lot of love and energy goes into the development of these flutes (along with some flute solos while I watch them print in my basement) and I am excited to see these in the wild!

ASSEMBLY:
This drone flute will arrive either pre-assembled or in pieces. Please assemble with care and match the pieces by following the IAMSOUND logo and product images as a guide. It should be fairly easy to push the pieces together by hand. If more force is needed, lightly tap them in place on top of a soft surface.

Super Fun Drone Flute in Low A!

I had been wanting to get one of the A3 drone flutes, but they were always sold out! I grabbed one when they were back in stock, and I am very happy with my new instrument! Shipping was fast, and I was able to assemble the flute easily. It has a nice, warm sound-love the low pitch! It plays well in-tune, and I like how light it is for such a big flute. I am sure that I will be back to buy another treasure soon!

Great Sound and feel

This flute has an amazing sound that I was very surprised by. The feel in my hands feels good. The only issue I have with this flute is the mouthpiece. I have to crank my neck to play this flute. For me it is not comfortable to play because I have to hold the flute right tight to my face. My nose is squished against the flute since the mouthpiece is on the back. A mouth piece that would be an inch longer would be amazing. That is the only reason why it has 4 stars. The fit of the pieces is great. The sound is Great. The feel in my hands is Great. The mouth piece not so great.
